Mercury Wine Club members flew in from all over the country for a weekend long PARTY, culminating in an afternoon of wine blending in one of the most beautiful vineyards in the Alexander Valley, where 26 winemaking teams competed to get their name on the 6th incarnation of our MERCURY CRU Blend.
The color is a deep, dark magenta, leading you to assume that this will be a bold wine; this wine does not disappoint!
The nose gives stewed plums, cassis and fig with hints of cream.
On the palate, ripe plums and black cherry run from front to back, filling your palate with rich flavors, finishing smooth with those hints of cream and no harsh tannins that you might expect from such a bold wine.
Winning CRU members get their names on the bottle and they can truly call themselves award-winning winemakers!
Cheers to the sixth CRU blending party winners Ian Myers and Tracey Crabe!
