Brad is very excited to announce that after five years "without" we now have
Cabernet Sauvignon back in the house.
The 2014 Messenger RESERVE Cab Sauv is everything you would expect from Brad. This wine is not over-extracted or over oaked.
The latest Messenger smells like Cabernet, with unbelievable balance and structure... and the varying intensity of the cherries as they glide across the palate are exquisite.
From the elegant aromatics to the long velvet finish this wine nods to Bordeaux but embodies the majesty of Northern California's grapes.
These Cabernet grapes are grown on a 1.2 acre rocky knoll buffered by forest and olive groves that are part of Serendipity Vineyards in NE Dry Creek Valley. This east-west dome shaped block experiences early morning sun on one end and late afternoon sun on the other. While concerned that this setting might produce a volatile combination of fruit, both grower and winemaker sensed the site's potential and decided to take a leap of faith, hoping to achieve balance within the volatility. Our 2014 vintage marks the first results of this experiment.....
